The Divine

What can ever truly be —
Divine

Is it silence — awareness — emptiness —
God — Brahman —
The timeless, the eternal

How can any of that —
Be divine

Only appearance —
Is divine

Only appearance
Bestows divinity —
Upon the divine —

In its utter and absolute impermanence
Its immateriality —
Its insignificance and boundedness
Groundlessness

It alone —
Is divine

It alone —
Worthy of attention

It is not only divine
It is the altar itself —
Without which
Divinity remains unheld
