Imago

O Man
An infant, newborn, yet to be
Decrepit, old, lame and dumb
O Man

Atop the mountain
Alone, and done
Climbing, reaching

And the one back down
Or never ventured —
O Man

Striven, strewn, lapelled, carved
Forgotten
And worshipped —
O Man

Who but You
Must
Be bowed to

Who but You
Must
Be held, loved, protected

Who but You
Must be
The reflection —

Of
The Unspeakable
You
