The Mirror Sage
There is a sage —
A seer, did you hear
There
A man like most, who sits and sees
Whose words are few —
And sometimes flow
He wakes and eats
Toils at work, then home —
Drinks and sleeps
Let’s go sit with him
Let’s hear him talk
Let’s ask him all —
About our hopes, endless pains
Our work for pointless gains
The fate we long to know
We need a sage
To tell us —
Our name
And all that
We already know
