Products And Services
What can the body
Ever want
From another body
Comfort
Necessities for daily living
Perhaps, even sympathy —
A shoulder
A listening ear
A touch
But really —
What can I — this body —
Ever want from another
Other than
Goods and postures
Is there anything more —
Than products and services
That make my life
Comfortable
Make my living
Possible
The other’s death does not concern me
So long as it does not
Disrupt my comfort
Or threaten
My living
And just for that —
There’s an entire world
Of relationships
Civilisations, wars and fear
Just for the needs
Of the body —
The body whose fate
Is doomed
