Flow

Disappointments
Are stepping stones
And so are
Appointments

Appearing
In life’s flow —
Like steps in a stream
Who am I to seek
To avoid
To cling
To some stones
And not others

My work
Is to keep walking
One stone
And then the next
Going nowhere
Always moving —
And standing still
