A Million Words

A million words — and more — I wrote
To speak with final certainty
What I knew
And all I could ever know, as true

To say, simply — unmistakably —
Precisely, without doubt or error
What I know — have always known —
And will ever know to be true

A million dances I danced
A million songs I sang
To convey to you
To myself —
Plainly, truthfully, what I knew

And never could I arrive at anything but
That I am
That You are
That I am what You are
That You alone are

Now come a million more —
My words, my songs, my dances
Your words, Your thoughts, Your utterances
Here lie all the libraries —
Unwritten and written
All the words —
Unspoken and spoken

And with one truth made certain
I speak and write
Sing and dance —
From eternity
Into infinity
