Grace

Grace is not happenstance —
Not some sudden or special moment of insight
Not a lightning strike
Nor an epiphany

It is none of those things
Grace is common sense —
Thought applied with focus
To articulate the question
That truly seeks an answer

That is grace —
Not special, not a gift, nothing hidden
Open and available
To anyone willing to think
Independently
By themselves
About anything
Whatsoever —

And to find
To know with absolute certainty
Without intermediaries
The answer —

And in that knowing
Be the mind of God
